On Saturday October 1st we welcomed Philip Allen to to the garden to lead a one day introductory course on the principles of permaculture. It rained most of the day so most of the day was spent in the polytunnel discussing the theory side of permaculture and discussing how we could implement some of this in our own lives and in the community garden.

We did brave the weather and constructed a pond and spiral planting bed as a small example of the principles of permaculture in practice.

The day was extremely informative and we look forward to having Philip back in the garden.
