Hearing the difference that involvement in the Garden has made to individuals brings the community garden experience to life. One of the ways we do this and celebrate all of our achievements is to run a celebration event at the end of the year. This event is planned and run by all the garden participants. Last year we booked the black box in town, ordered some of their pizzas, cooked many salads, cakes and mains to accompany the pizzas and took time to reflect on what we had achieved. Each participants was presented with a certificate of achievement and a DVD of the development of the garden through the year. The management committee and supporters heard first hand why this shared space in a corner of North Belfast is changing lives and breaking down barriers.
